 | roadtrippin anyone? | Jun 7, 2005 |
i embrace the burst of sunshine and the shower of rain, the thrill of an awesome adventure, roadtripping to an endless "straight ahead", an overdose of laughter, and the celebration of life with crazy fun friends who make this journey one hella' joyride =P | | in this season of twosomes, i managed to have 2 dates with cy and jon at isshin =) they say three is a crowd, but for us it perfectly complemented our photo addiction. it was the same night that we had our "little despedida" with che. cheers to a successful career and love-filled year ahead!

| | Long weekends are well cherished! The Monday Group had a lunch reunion at Recipe in Greenbelt, followed by our KTV challenge. I didn't know Sir Jun can sing soo well!
We had a cattle call with Bing and Jan. This was an ultimate roadtripping to an endless "straight ahead" from Tagaytay to Calatagan and back! |
| | I wanted to do something different, and although I'm not a fan of guns, the adrenaline rush of firing excited me. I tried indoor firing at Evangelista. Bing's brother, Ruben, owns a security agency. What better way to learn than from the Range Master himself!
Next time I'd try the outdoors... =) |
| | Just in time for summer, we headed to Tioman Island, Malaysia, for a relaxing beach escapade. I'd still say we have the best beaches in the Philippines! But I loved the huge waves. Maybe I'll try to learn surfing next time. I'd go back here for the Cheese Roti. I loved the beach so much that I got roasted to a sunkissed golden bronze tan =)

| | No chewing of bubblegum. This is what I remembered first when I arrived at the airport. Singapore is just a city to some, but it has its interesting charm as well. Very safe, clean, traveler-friendly commuting system, moon crater-free roads, and there’s no traffic! Most of all, it was a fun reunion with Cheryl, Anton and Obee =)
Cosmopolitan Tour: • Sentosa – Underwater World, The Beach, Sky Tower, Merlion Walk • Bugis Village – Shopping • Clark Quaye – Bungee Jumping site and riverbank • Orchard Road – Esplanade Tower and Merlion Park
Foodtripping Must-try: • Steamed Stingray • Singaporean Satay • Roasted Duck Noodles • Raspberry Block Ice-cream • Prawn Laksa – just to satisfy your curiousity

| | The saying "The best things in life are free" is not true! I want to travel the world and I need to splurge to do that. Kidding aside, the Philippines is abundant in natural resources and we should discover the wonders of our homeland. My first destination for the year is a duo in Cagayan de Oro & Camiguin, with adventure buddies Joel, Joj, Jan and Erin =)
Cagayan de Oro Must-go to: 1. White Water Rafting/ Skybridge/ Zip-line – 22-rapids is strongly recommended for first-timers! 2. Sunken Cemetery 3. Katibawan Falls – nothing beats the ice-cold water! 4. Soda Pool 5. Night Market – vibrant street dining & good food at low prices
Camiguin Delights: 1. White Island – floating island with pristine white sand, and best sunbathing view of a mountain up-close and serenaded with the waves 2. Lagoon – fresh seafood galore!
Top 5 Lessons during the trip: 1. The best crispy and mouth-watering lechon is in CDO! 2. Camiguin is a result of a volcanic eruption (hmm still figuring this out) 3. Don’t miss ordering steak in Del Monte Country Club. Huge serving! 4. Forget anything else except your camera. Memories are best captured in photos. 5. When you fall off the raft, just float, put your feet apart and butt out. (I did all 3, but before I knew it, I was already in the rapids without a boat and only a lifevest on! What an adventure! =P )
